Our journey
Hi there! I’m Nikolay, the Founder of SkyCatcher. From a young age, aviation has been my passion. The thrill of flight and the sense of freedom that comes with being airborne captured my imagination. That passion took flight in a more tangible way when I earned my pilot’s licence. With my wings officially in hand, I began taking friends and relatives on exhilarating flights. It wasn’t just about the joy of flying for me; it was about sharing that experience. By splitting the costs, I could fly more often, and my passengers had a blast soaring through the skies.
As much as I loved these flights, finding new people to share them with became increasingly challenging. The more I flew, the more I realised how difficult it was to connect with fellow aviation enthusiasts who wanted to experience the same joy. That’s when a spark of inspiration hit me: what if there was a platform that could bring together pilots and passengers, making it easier to connect and share the cost of flying?
Thus, the idea of SkyCatcher was born. I envisioned a space where aviation enthusiasts could find each other, where the joy of flight could be shared more widely, and where the costs could be more manageable for everyone involved.
Since 2021, I’ve been on a journey to make SkyCatcher a reality. It’s been a process of trial, error, and relentless dedication. I explored various approaches and solutions, learning from each step along the way. And in 2024, after countless hours of hard work and refinement, the first version of SkyCatcher was launched!

I’m excited to see where this journey takes us and to help others experience the same passion for flight that has always driven me.
