Affordable Aerial Adventures Through Flight-Sharing

Book seats on flights shared with private pilots

Affordable aerial adventures

Affordable aerial adventures

SkyCatcher, a flight-sharing platform, offers an affordable way to take to the skies in small aircraft for special events, sightseeing, or even a flight training. By allowing private pilots to split the cost of their flights, SkyCatcher makes what was once unaffordable more accessible. Private pilots list their flights on the platform, and passengers can book seats and contribute to the flight’s expenses. Since private pilots use SkyCatcher to cover their flying costs rather than make a profit, flights are often more budget-friendly compared to other services. Read more

Pilots on SkyCatcher

SkyCatcher is a platform where pilots can list flights for passengers. While SkyCatcher verifies their identity and licences, they are not employed by SkyCatcher.

Private Pilots

Private Pilots

When you fly with a private pilot, you’re flying privately with a pilot who is responsible for ensuring their aircraft is airworthy and meets all licences and safety requirements. Private pilots must have a current medical certificate, a valid licence, and recent flight reviews, and they operate under strict aviation safety rules and cannot make profit. They generally fly as a hobby rather than professionally.

Commercial Pilots

Commercial Pilots

Commercial pilots are professional aviators who hold a commercial pilot licence, allowing them to operate aircraft for compensation. Unlike private pilots, commercial pilots are authorised to conduct scenic and charter flights. They are required to adhere to strict safety regulations and must meet higher medical standards. Commercial pilots usually work for commercial aviation operators who hold Air Operator's Certificate (AOC).

Flight Instructors

Flight Instructors

Single-person instructors are individual flight instructors who provide one-on-one training to student pilots for compensation. They are certified to provide non-complex flight training for the issue of recreational (RPL), private (PPL), commercial (CPL) pilot licences and certain operational ratings for both aeroplanes and helicopters.

Who is my pilot?

When you view a flight listing, you'll see the type of flight—whether it's private, commercial, or for flight training. The listing includes a brief description of the pilot, and you can view their profile for more details. You can start a conversation with the pilot before submitting a booking request to ask any questions about the flight, and you'll also be able to chat with them after your request is submitted.
