Share the cost
As a private pilot, you can significantly reduce your flying expenses by sharing your flights with passengers. This not only helps manage expenses but also offers passengers the unique opportunity to experience private aviation. Read more
List a FlightFly more frequently
By sharing flights, you can fly more frequently, as the shared costs make the financial commitment more manageable. This means that you can indulge in your aviation hobby with greater ease, without the same level of concern over high expenses. The reduced financial pressure allows you to maximise your flying time and enjoyment. This increased flight frequency can also contribute to improved flying skills and proficiency, enhancing both the recreational and professional aspects of your aviation experience.

Browse AircraftNo membership fees
SkyCatcher simplifies the process of sharing flights by eliminating the need for membership fees. Unlike many platforms that require commitment to annual or monthly memberships, pilots only incur a SkyCatcher service fee, which is directly subtracted from the booking payment made by passengers. This means there are no upfront costs or ongoing financial commitments. You can list your flights and manage bookings without additional financial obligations beyond the service fee. This approach makes SkyCatcher a cost-effective and flexible solution for pilots looking to share their flights and reduce expenses while enjoying the benefits of private aviation. Read more
Private Pilots
As a private pilot, you must have a current medical certificate, a valid licence (PPL or CPL) and the appropriate endorsements to fly certain aircraft. You must also have had a flight review within the last two years.
At the time of the registration on SkyCatcher platform, your licence, medical and the date of the flight review will be validated. You must also present these documents to the passengers when you meet them before the flight.

Commercial Operators
Only commercial operators can list scenic & charter flights on SkyCatcher platform and must hold an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). Undertaking commercial aviation activities without an AOC is illegal and can result in significant penalties. Unlike private pilots, commercial pilots must have a specific pilot licence (CPL) that allows them to fly commercially and they are authorised to be compensated for their flying services.

Flight Instructors
Single-person instructors, also known as sole instructors, can provide non-complex flight training to both novice students and already-licensed pilots. Sole flight instructors looking to become a flight training organisation (FTO) can seek approval from aviation safety authority through the streamlined approval process.

On the SkyCatcher platform, all users who sign up as passengers undergo a mandatory ID validation process. This ensures that each passenger's identity is verified before they can book or board a flight. To complete this process, passengers must provide a government-issued ID or another form of identification. This step helps maintain security and trust within the platform by confirming that users are who they claim to be, enhancing the overall safety of flight operations.
